In these past nineteen years of my life, the one thing that I have come to realize is that getting a higher education from a good college is the key to a person’s success. College education is extremely important for people if they want to have a good career ahead in their lives and if they would like to become a respected part of the society. Getting a college degree is just the beginning, as it opens up the mind of the person, and it also opens up many other doors of opportunities through which a person can pursue his or her choice of career. My name is XXX, I live in XXX, and I aspire to complete my college education in the field of psychology from a good college or university in the United States.

I have always been interested in psychology. I remember that I was interested in how people behaved around different stimuli and situations and it always pleased me to find that I had correctly predicted their behavior. I soon came to realize that human nature can easily be explained because of the kind of the circumstances and also that some human behavior can also be predicted based on the observation of the particular environment. When I think of my childhood and my mother, I immediately think about the kind of learning processes that I have been through. Some of my learning experiences have been very Pavlovian in nature, when I would learn to associate certain sounds and expressions with different events and proceedings. Other times, I have been acutely aware of the reinforcement theories, which my mother used to use on me to make me learn things. I did not know then, but I was considering psychology and its effects without actually knowing the actual terms for these things. Only now I realize that I was going through the learning processes, which are such an integral part of behavioral psychology today.

At the same time as my interest in psychology developed, I came to understand that it is important for me to take an interest in my overall education if I am to excel in the field of psychology. I completed my primary education from the XXX Private College in XXX and then my secondary education from the XXX College. That is not to say that I was not interested in other things as well, and I made sure that played my part to help my society; I was the captain of the Red Cross Society during my primary school as well as the class prefect for three years. I was also involved in many other extra curricular activities such as playing football, basketball, and gymnastics, dancing, and participating in literary debates. I have also passed the XXX Examination as well as the XXX Exams with good grades. I also took my SAT and scored 1010.

I am at a point in my life where I have come to realize that I have to continue my education forward in order to satisfy my craving for learning as well as to further my career options in the field of psychology. I would like to start my bachelor’s degree in the US for many reasons, the number one being the chance to experience the diversity of cultures that I am going to find there. A typical US university is filled with people from all over the world, everyone with their unique cultural backgrounds, and I would like to experience the joy of observing and interacting with them. I am also aware that getting a college education from the US would greatly help me in getting the respect in the society as an educated person and would allow me to get a good job and a career start in my own country. This is why I would very much like to complete my undergraduate degree from an American college or university.
