Elderly patients suffering from Chronic Pain are constantly taking pain meds that has serious GI side effects for that population and can cause dependency when opioid are used. My project is about using alternative measure such as Music Therapy to help provide pain relief for at least 30 mins daily. The nurse, caregiver, or the patient can play the music instead to administering pain meds routinely or PRN. The goal is to relief patients pain while reducing the risk associated with taking too many NSAIDs and opioid.
